BOOYAH Makes Big Splash With Giant Truck Giveaway

FORT SMITH, Ark. – BOOYAH, manufacturer of premium spinnerbaits, jigs, frogs and other effective fishing lures, has launched a national campaign designed to grab the attention and imagination of avid bass anglers everywhere. During 2014 BOOYAH is hitting the road and four-wheeling to major bass tournaments and consumer shows throughout the nation, and ultimately giving away a custom, tricked-out BOOYAH-wrapped Toyota Tundra valued at close to $70,000.

The BOOYAH Custom Truck promotion launches Feb. 21 at the 2014 GEICO Bassmaster Classic in Birmingham, Ala. Anglers visiting the Classic Expo can see the truck and enter the sweepstakes at the BOOYAH booth, and one finalist will be selected at the end of the tournament. Then, one finalist will be selected from those who enter at each of the 2014 B.A.S.S. Elite events. Add one finalist from on-line entries (http://www.booyahbaits.com/truck), for a total of 11 finalists.

These 11 finalists immediately win a trip to the 2015 Bassmaster Classic, where each will be given a key. The holder of the key that starts the ignition will become the proud owner of the custom BOOYAH Toyota Tundra (a list of extras is listed below).

The promotion is designed to raise awareness of the new branding of BOOYAH.

“Our market research provided extensive consumer insight about avid anglers,” said John Skrabo, Vice President of Marketing for PRADCO Outdoor Brands, which owns BOOYAH and more than 25 other quality fishing and hunting brands. “They’re bold. They’re competitive. They want the best. They like having something that nobody else has. And, they like to win.”

BOOYAH recently announced the signing of 2004 B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year Gerald Swindle to the BOOYAH team. Swindle is one of the favorites to win the 2014 Classic at Lake Guntersville, Ala., a body of water that’s right in his backyard.

“Swindle is a perfect fit for the brand,” Skrabo said. “He has charisma and is fiercely competitive – and he wins bass tournaments.”

In addition to signing Swindle to the BOOYAH pro staff, the brand also announced a major partnership with B.A.S.S., the largest fishing organization in the country.

“There’s no better way to reach these aggressive and passionate anglers than through Bassmaster’s multi-media platforms,” said Chris Gulstad, Global Brand Manager for fishing. “Their reach goes way beyond its 500,000-plus members.”
